baby sweater voodoo

I'm almost done with the sweater I've been knitting for my niece. This is the first item I've ever blocked. The red towel is soaked and I'd like to change it out, but I'm afraid to mess it up. I excited to finish it, I've been dragging my feet, so I hope it isn't too small now. The wrap design (from here) should allow for some slop. I hate sewing so much, it was only the Firefly marathon that kept me focused enough to even start it.
